Our policies constitute the framework for maintaining a workable relationship with our customers. These guidelines are not intended to make things complicated for a dissatisfied customer. Naturally we will do our best to make sure that our customers are not only happy with their Yumiko piece(s) but also satisfied with the service behind it. In order for us to practice a sustainable system of dealing with any problems you may have with your order, we ask that you adhere to the following. If this is not possible, please do not hesitate to contact us directly to discuss an alternate course of action.
You are purchasing a 'made to order Item' of your personal preference, and as a result we must collect a deposit for the full amount of your order and your item is non-refundable. You agree in our "Terms and Conditions" to allow us up to twelve weeks to deliver your product. If we are unable to deliver your product after twelve weeks, you are entitled to request a refund of the charged amount; at that time, we will supply a refund, provide a new date, and you will authorize us to charge your credit card again when your item is ready to ship.

YUMIKO exercises a company wide final sale policy. No YUMIKO piece can be returned or exchanged for any reason barring errors made in the production of the piece(s). If there is a fault in production you must send an email explaining in detail what the problem is, where and when you bought the piece, and your order number if applicable. You may be asked to provide a digital photo of the problem before we agree remake your piece. DO NOT SEND ANYTHING BACK UNLESS YOU HAVE CONFIRMATION FROM US.
Sale of discounted items are final and for no reason can be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

If all of these stipulations are met, we will reimburse you for return postage. Items returned that do not comply with our return policy will be discarded or returned at the customers' expense. Only items bought directly from official representatives may be returned. Returns and exchanges are not admissible on discounts or items that have been specially adjusted or damaged during transport/shipping.
There are no cancellations on orders. You are purchasing a made to order item therefore once your order is placed it is confirmed for production.
YUMIKO reserves the right to decline any special order based on color combination or design adjustment that is unrepresentative of our label. If your order has been dismissed you will be notified promptly to discuss a suitable alternative.
YUMIKO does not guarantee any special requests or alterations made outside of what is regularly offered, or what is considered a normal adjustment.
If for any reason we are unable to fill your order due to the unavailability of material, we will contact you directly to discuss appropriate recourse.
Private agreements made with the different representatives worldwide cause pricing to sometimes vary regionally. YUMIKO reserves the right to make adjustments in prices. Customers will be advised of changes in the printed price before any order is confirmed.
Retail prices are set in agreements with YUMIKO. Retailers and Representatives may not change the retail price without first having written approval from YUMIKO.
YUMIKO will not disclose customer information to third parties. A system is used to keep track of your shopping details in order to process your order. This system can store your address information only if you choose. Please note this option when placing your order.
No portion of the Yumiko catalog, website, or printed material may be copied or used without express written approval by YUMIKO.
We ship worldwide using standard post for orders of 15 items or less. For orders of 15 items or more we ship with an expedited service, such as UPS, FedEx, or similar.
Tracking on international orders is not available on small orders, however should you wish to have tracking we are happy to send the item(s) using an expedited service with an additional charge to your order.
Shipping time is separate from that spent on production. It is dependent on both the chosen shipping method, and the address of the recipient.
The recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes, and extra costs associated with package entering the destination country.
If your package is returned because the address is incorrect, not found, or because the package was unclaimed, we will not resend the package without additional payment for the cost of resending. Naturally, if it's our mistake there is no extra charge. Please make sure your address is correct, current, and that there is always someone available to claim the package.

ALL YUMIKO CLOTHING is HAND MADE and most often MADE TO ORDER. Therefore, production can be lengthy. Every YUMIKO piece is handmade in our own YUMIKO workshop in southern Spain. We produce there to ensure both the highest quality possible and a good and humane working environment for our employees. There are strict working conditions and laws that we must adhere to, including government mandated holidays and days off. These factors will affect your production times. During holiday periods orders can take up to several weeks longer that what we normally announce at the time of making your order. Since we cannot foresee the number of orders that will come in during a given period, we cannot advise you at the time of purchase. We can only inform you of the possibility of delays during the busy periods and vacation periods, which are namely Christmas (Nov-Jan) and summer holiday (August-Sept). All we can ask is that you please be patient with us.
The turnaround time for an order that we declare at the point of sale does not reflect the additional time that it takes for the order to get to you, it is merely the production time. Once the order has left our workshop we cannot promise or give an exact date of delivery for a number of reasons, because we have no control on the different postal services that will handle the packages. Any claims or complaints in relation to a time after the shipment of your order, you must file with the according delivery service. If your order is returned to us as undeliverable, we will notify you immediately to arrange to resend the package.

Due to the countless variations possible, Yumiko does not guarantee that the colors/fabrics chosen to combine will not bleed or discolor. Combinations of very light colors with darker ones are particularly susceptible to running and discoloration. We do not refund or exchange any pieces affected in this way. Our suggestion is to follow the Fabric care and any special instructions or notes.
Fabric care: Hand wash only in cold water. Use very mild detergent. Do not iron. Do not use dryer- lay flat to dry.
Do not wear for long periods of intense exertion as high levels of body acid or Alkaline combined with warm body temperatures may have adverse effects and may cause discoloration or colors to run or bleed.
Our sizing chart is general and is based on the fact that we typically cater primarily to semi-professional and professional dancers. All YUMIKO models have been specifically designed for the dancer's body and therefore may fit other shapes improperly. Not every model is meant for every body type. However, because most of the fabrics that we use do stretch generously and can even account for a size up to 30% larger than what is listed on our chart, there is a lot of give in the fit. Provided that you follow the size chart, YUMIKO pieces can fit many body types.

Because of our fast growing reputation for quality, fit, and creative choice, our product demand is constantly increasing. More and more people are ordering, and sometimes we have a hard time keeping up. Our workshop is committed to producing the best quality possible and no step in the process is ever hurried. The only thing we can do is to ask you for a little patience and ensure that your wait is well worth it.
There are certain times of the year when we are particularly busy and orders can take even longer to get out. We have listed these below for your convenience and knowledge.
Each and every piece is made according to the customer's personal choice of color and fabric. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for other people's creativity and for this reason we do not offer any refund on custom orders.
If however, there was a mistake made during the production process, we will remake your piece correctly, given that the piece received has clearly not been worn or washed. There is a 14 day period from the date the order was received to notify us of any mistakes.
In order to keep a large and changing selection of colors available, we quite often stop with certain colors in order to make room for new ones. Due to the fact that we don't use large amounts of any single color, it's not possible to make large batches since they cannot sit on the shelves too long without losing their quality. If a certain color you order runs out or is on back order we will let you know as soon as possible in order for you to select another color.
The best way to gauge your size with us would be to try something on, but because this is not always possible, we have thoroughly tested our sizing chart and are very confident that if followed closely every piece will fit accordingly. Keep in mind, regardless of the size chart, some models fit better on certain body types. Know your body! If it's your first time ordering Yumiko then maybe try a model you are familiar with to know what a Yumiko should feel like. If you like how your Yumiko fits, then go for it and order the model you really want. We want you feel great first and look great, too!
The best way to take care of your Yumiko pieces is to first read the care tag sewn inside. Don't mix them with your normal laundry. Wash them by hand in cold water with mild detergent, right after wearing. Lay your piece flat to dry.
